It's been almost three years since the crew of the Destiny went into stasis in an effort to conserve power. But if out space-based assets were re-tasked to search for another Icarus -type planet I believe we now have the means to successfully redial the 9th chevron and provide relief to the crew. Were we to put this task off for another year there is every possibility that their reserves would be depleted, and without a compatible power source there would be no way to restore the show - ship, I said ship.
We must act immediately in order to achieve these goals within an acceptable time-frame. We should no more leave these poor souls trapped at the end of a wormhole than we would leave them in enemy hands.
