10% flat tax on all income over the poverty line. The rich pay their share and the middle class won't be over burdened. If all persons employed in America pay 10% , the total income would be higher and the overall burden would be more fairly split. The rich would not be able to claim an unfair burden and the poor would remain unaffected. Do away with most tax credits. Put in place incentives for charitable donations. There would be no need for the thousands of pages in the tax code and the average American would be able to understand and pay their taxes in a more timely manner.
