Jesus People Against Pollution request for President Obama to revisit Marion County, Columbia, MS De-Listed Superfund Site to aide the community in obtaining environmental justice as it relates to Executive Order 12898 with enforcement. Columbia, MS Webb Quarter and Chinaberry Community have experienced a fish kill, cattle kill and human beings killed from a toxic waste site that exploded in March 1977. After this, Reichold Chemical Company closed down and abandon the site. They left behind a Toxic Release Inventory List of 179 plus chemicals with ingredients of Agent Orange. The community experienced three major floods, illegal offsite dumping, unknown major environmental health crisis and horrible cleanup process. Today, the community seeks for funds for relocation and health justice.
