The past several months the American people have witnessed unprecedented violent suppression of dissent in New York, Oakland, Washington D.C. and throughout camps and sites of the Occupy movement nationwide. We call on the Obama administration to redress state and federal violence towards the Occupy movement including but not limited to violent assaults by police officers, illegal detention of protesters and the arrests of accredited journalists reporting on the activities of the Occupy movement.
