Redress vehicle import laws to allow self-importation of newer vehicles.

Created by E.B. on May 25, 2014

Current vehicle import laws make it very difficult and expensive for an individual to import a car into the United States that is less than 25 years old due to the mandate that they must comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS).
I propose that the law be amended to change the age of imported vehicles that must comply with all applicable FMVSS from the current age of 25 years old to 15 years old.
