The current NHTSA and EPA laws effectively prohibit the import of motor vehicles that are less than 25 years old. This not only causes a high amount of work for the CBP but unnecessarily constrains car collectors from importing highly sought after and historically significant vehicles.
The current 25 year law is unnecessarily high as evidenced by Canada's same laws only being 15 years. We petition the US government to lower this NHTSA and EPA restriction to 15 years.
