Reduce the 7 year Background Law that is preventing convicted felons the right to build a productive life after release

This is a petition to reduce the 7 year background law which is preventing most convicted felons from getting a job that is above an annual low income cap. When released from prison, they are provided with resources to get assistance which does not fully meet their needs. Searching for homes and employment is very discouraging when they are rejected because they do not meet the requirements of the 7 year background law. The government can reduce recidivism ,(the rotation of the prison doors), by reducing or eliminating the background law. Most convicted felons return back to prison because they have broken the law to provide for their families, have a safe place to sleep and eat, or to get the medication they need for a chronic illness. The law is the law but what about their rights.
