Food stamps seem to be on the forefront of cuts. I recommend we cut agricultural subsidies instead by 50% and give the remaining 50% to farmers who produce produce/livestock and give them to food banks. Additional food can be used as foreign aid thereby reducing funds used to feed those in foreign countries. Should the agricultural subsidies cut have remaining funds, I propose they be put back into food stamp funding. If this plan is used, can it be called the Hayden Plan?
