A Congressman/Congresswomen’s term of service is for two years and Senator’s for six, were then they become eligible for full retirement. The starting salary for a rank-and-file members of Senate is $174,000 per year and Congress (there are 529 of them) gets paid $174,000.

For one year both Congress and Senate earn combined $1,339,314,000.00

They receive 100% retirement for 2 – 6 years of work and have passed legislation for military veterans to have their retirement reduce after 20-30 years of service to their nation. Reduces the budget equally, starting with our leadership .
