Reduce and Adjust Congressional Pensions.

Congressional pension is dragging our nation deeper into debt. It is one of the top contributors to our national debt and only continues to rise as more members of our government retire. Although all government employees are under the same pension plan, Congress gains the most out of it and costs our country the most. Spending billions of dollars on retired congressmen does not better our country and the repercussions of reducing congressional pension would be minimal. We the people purpose that a limit of $100,000 be put on annual congressional pensions for both future retirees and current ones. Additionally the requirements for reaching $100,000 annually be raised.
