Reduce back to 25,000 the number of signatures required for an official White House reponse.

Created by T.C. on January 16, 2013

The White House announced January 15, that petitions submitted through its online platform will now need 100,000 signatures to warrant an administration response, a 400% increase from the previous 25,000 signature threshold.

The new guidelines will likely save the administration from having to expend future resources toward addressing a fringe issues. It will also make it more difficult for activists to force the White House to consider legitimate, though perhaps less attention-grabbing issues.

I urge you to sign this petition to get the Obama administration to reconsider this measure.

Thank you!
