Reduce the backlog on Family Visas

Created by R.A. on June 12, 2013

The backlog for family sponsored immigration visas currently varies from a minimum 7 years from date of application for Preference F1, except for Preference 2A for children under 21 of Permanent Residents. The backlog over the past 16 months has not shown any decrease. We, US Citizens and Permanent Residents of the US, believe that legally sought family immigration requests should not require such long delays to reunite families who did not collectively fall under originali regulations for immigrant familiest. We urge the President of the United States to allocate additional preference limits to reduce the backlog by at least two (2) years on all preference immigrant visa classes.
