Reduce Billions in Wasted Taxpayer Dollars and the Cost in Lives through Smart Reform of the Criminal Justice System

This is a request for public acknowledgement and concerted, comprehensive action to be taken on the part of the President regarding our costly, bloated prison system and the broken Criminal Justice System that is a factor in causing the problem. We ask for smart reform. With crime down, we request that a commission be appointed to review all of the issues with public safety and taxpayer cost a priority, but certainly to include the Federal inmates themselves and the abuses of civil, human rights & outright torture allowed by the Bureau of Prisons. With the United States incarcerating more of it's citizens than any country in the world and giving the longest sentences, we do not accept that Americans are more criminally inclined than citizens of other countries or less able to rehabilitate.
