The United States is on a very long road to recovery, yet the price of educational materials "Textbooks" are very expensive, but a required tools for success. Textbooks outweigh the price of college tuition. Students should be able to purchase a book and be able to resell it within a year without the books being out of date, which is the burden that is putting students in debt. There should be a policy that prohibits the school from changing their books every semester, which causes these financial burdens on students. By decreasing the amount of money for educational materials more citizens would be able to financially afford college: which would then lead to many highly skilled professionals in the future to help lead our country on the correct path so that we do not travel down this road
