In an effort to cut defense spending, the Obama Administration plans to cut health benefits for active duty and retired military personnel and their families while leaving the benefits enjoyed by unionized civilian defense workers untouched.
Once an individual has enlisted or commissioned, he or she is under contract with the US government and is then legally (and morally) obligated to complete the terms of the contract.
To target a group of individuals and their families who are legally, contractually, and morally bound to stay working for the US Government, for the deepest budget cuts is cowardice exercised in the most abusive form.
Those who stand to fight on land, in air and at sea, for those who cannot or will not, need your voice.
