The average member of Congress earns $174,000 a year. Why do they make so much? Money should not be the reason to enter politics. In the Army, a Private (E1) earns $18,378.00 per year. In same Army, a Staff Sergeant (E6) earns anywhere from $28,569.60 to $35,578.80, depending on experience.
I'm sure most American's will agree that it is WRONG for the men and women who put their lives at stake and fight to protect this country, earn so little to do so. I'm sure they will also agree that it is WRONG for the men and women who have been appointed to Congress, earn so much.
This can and should be changed! Please, let's urge the President of the United States to use his executive power for something that can be so good for our country.
