"It makes no sense that a person 'representing' me makes four times my salary."
This petition is a chance to bring our so-called representatives into the real world. By tying their salaries to the average American household they can actually see what their policies do to normal Americans. It would bring a great incentive for the government to work together to fix America so they can get more money. In this way they actually work for us.
Of course this only works if we have effective campaign fiance reform and destroy the Citizen's United crime. Public money should be outlawed...if people want to support their candidate they should donate to their respective districts, spurring job growth. Each candidate would get the exact same amount of limited funds and x amount of prepaid ads
