Reduce the cost of college tuition.

Created by L.L. on January 29, 2014

Mr. President,

For most of us, attending college was not a choice but a necessity for the betterment of our family and ourselves. However, college tuition continues to increase. According to Projectstudentdebt.org, student loan debt averaged $29,400 per borrower last year in the United States. The overwhelming cost of college deters many students from pursuing a degree. Many think, why go to college and owe money when I can make money now? As a result, they miss out on the benefits that come with earning a degree. Please do more to regulate public university tuition and the amount of financial assistance students receive. As a country that places such heavy emphasis on the pursuit of knowledge and education, we should do a better job of making it more obtainable for the average person.
