In 1776, the Congress determined that the pay rate of $200,000 was sufficient enough to pay the President of the United States.
In 2004, Congress rose the Presidential pay rate of $200,000 to $400,000.
The President of the United States is given a pay rate and an executive budget which continually destroys the foundation of the US economy. Although the dent is extremely minimal to the deficit considering the spending by Congress; it would show America that the Office of the President is more than willing to take the lead in restricting it's selfish pay rate.
Many of the Founding Fathers gave their pay back to the the people because it was an Honor to serve as a President. We, The People, should demand this from our President now.
