Reduce defense spending and allocate those funds to create greener technologies.

Defense spending in the U.S. has gone through the roof the past few years. In 2011, 25% of our budget went to defense spending. What is all that money doing except creating more problems and a higher probability for a disastrous war. Support this group to reduce the military budget and use the funds to help encourage and pay for green technologies. Going green is a matter of staying economically competitive with other countries. This is a necessity for the well-being of our economy. It will allow us to become independent from the Mid East for oil creating less of an environmental impact, less wars to secure these energies for the country, and more green jobs.
