Reduce the deficit by letting the Bush tax cuts expire and lowering spending (everywhere) until the budget is balanced

Created by T.J. on December 03, 2012

Finally get to fiscal responsibility. Stop spending money that will be paid by the next generation(s). If government needs to generate more revenue, try and raise taxes and see where that gets you. Borrowing money from the SSA is only a tax on the future generations. Currently the interest rates are low, so money is cheap; what happens when the rates go up? to 2% or 3%? in 2010 the USA paid 413 billion in interest. What will that be when rates rise? How much in taxes will be required then? The Bush tax cuts were only a failed stimulus plan, let them expire. Stop the madness now before the real fiscal cliff approaches. You must cut spending across the board to be fair. This must be done for the sake of our country. If we fail to do this someone else will eventually own the USA.
