Reduce Destructive Inequality at the Corporate Level

Created by R.G. on January 22, 2014

Taxes and unions are blunt tools that have been used in the past to address inequality. We address inequality at its source by petitioning our government to set a cap on a corporation's earnings to US payroll ratio. This cap would be determined by a corporation's history as found in its W2's and earnings filings. There would be a fine imposed of 100% of any earnings in excess of the cap.

. Corporations would decide how best to increase their payrolls, not the government.

. Since ratio is to US payroll, would retain US workers.

. Avoids the political problems of tax and redistribute

Since 1972, payrolls have fallen from 52% to 44% of GDP. This cap will reverse this trend before our economic/political system is placed at risk.
