A man, or woman, can go out at 18 years of age and vote for president, fight in the armed forces, smoke, and live on their own, but they have to wait until they're 21 in order to start drinking. In other countries the drinking age is much lower and it's accepted, granted if the drinking age is lowered right away there will be a lot of drinking related injuries, but as time goes on they'll decrease and it'll become an everyday part of life for 18 year olds. Why would we trust one with a gun, but not a mug?
