I am a Mom of two children being held in a Federal Facility awaiting sentencing for Drug Crime. This was a non-violent crime. Yes, they did wrong. However, the Feds are asking for a sentence of 20 to 38 years. This is outrageous and incomprehensible! They have already been locked up for two years. We need to confront drug addiction and drug crime. We need to give people a chance to be productive and useful and safely adjust back into society. Taking your whole life away and taking them away from responsibilities and families is NOT the answer!
