The wars in Iraq and Afghanistan have been extremely costly to this country. With over a trillion dollars spent already, we cannot continue to prosper and rebuild our economy while we spend billions in countries where we can no longer justify our presence.
It's important that our intelligence agencies are given the resources and ability to do their jobs. We need to bring our troops back home and win the war against terrorism with our brains and not our brawn. Sun Tzu said "It's useless to send armies against ideas." Let's re-strategize and start working smarter, not harder, to fight our enemies.
This is neither amnesty for our enemies, nor is it a declaration of a loss of any war. It's an ideological change in how we fight, and how we will ultimately win.
