If the amount spent in the budget on counter-terrorism methods (which have been proven to fail despite the billions of tax dollars dumped into them) were instead used to fund vocational schools to teach young students marketable skills in manufacturing and other such careers, the recession would likely end sooner, as more people would have skills that are easily brought to market, and less people would feel pressured to dump thousands of dollars into college only to end up with a job that didn't require a degree in the first place.
In addition, the TSA in its current state has done much more harm than good, and should be dismantled as soon as possible.
