Reduce gun related deaths by creating a minimum portion of gun related sentences that must be served and not suspended.

Nationwide, such as here in Baltimore, much gun crime is performed by repeat offenders with suspended sentences and out on probation. We request that for any gun related sentences, a minimum portion of that sentence must be served. Additionally, it is desired that judges decisions, case outcomes, sentences and amount of sentences suspended be made public info online. Right now the process is not transparent, and judges need more accountability when they allow gun crime committing individuals back on the street with little penalty. There needs to be stronger incentive & cost, for judges and criminals, to prevent gun crimes from destroying our neighborhoods. This is an alternative and I feel stronger approach to curbing gun violence than gun regulation alone. This will save lives.
