reduce gun violence through strict and significant consequences and accountability for irresponsible gun owners.

Created by J.H. on April 09, 2013

Gun enthusiasts have real concerns about responsible gun owners’ 2nd amendment rights. And all decent Americans hate that so many of us are shot or victimized at gunpoint annually.

Therefore, because “guns don’t kill people; people kill people,” those who cause gun violence through irresponsible ownership and use of guns must be held to account.

Although made and sold legally, well before most of these events, a once-legal gun is lent, kept, stored, resold, or otherwise owned/used irresponsibly. Without consequences, irresponsible gun owners/users won’t change.

We must define and impose significant penalties, up to and including gun license loss, felony charges and jail time for irresponsible gun ownership/use that endangers our fellow citizens and/or facilitates later, violent events.
