Reduce the handouts to Welfare and reduce the tax burden oon the working family. Welfare needs to be reeled in.

Created by R.T. on May 31, 2014

Welfare handouts have become an expected payment plan for people that are not responsible in society. Although many people need assistance and are working hard to get off welfare, too many are using it as a way to pay for their lifestyles. Welfare receipients should not be getting tax refunds since they do not pay taxes. The refunds should go to the people that actually work for a living. If on welfare, they shold be required to take drug tests just like everyone else that actually works. Receipients should also be required to work at least 25 - 30 hours a week in a voluntary role. Receipients could clean the streets of their neiborhoods, volunteer at schools, or other productive actions to help relieve some of the burden on those that actually work for a living. Welfare reform is overdue.
