Reduce Harsh Sentences for Non-Violent, First Time Teenage Offenders

Stop Harsh Sentencing for Non-Violent Teenagers
I write on this platform in a desperate attempt to help a young boy sentenced to 17 years in prison. He is not violent and had no prior record. He participated in a home invasion while under the influence of a “fight or flight” emotion numbing drug. The sentencing term was based on Perception, Influence and Money. This was a felony. The boy is paying a high price for being in the wrong place at the right time. His dreams vanished in an instant with one poor decision and one large injustice of harsh sentencing. He was not violent during the crime. He did not physically harm anyone. He had never done anything like that before and had no prior record. He is not a repeat offender. Now he waits 17 years to redeem himself. PLEASE help by signing.
