"Education is an admirable thing, but it is well to remember from time to time that nothing that is worth knowing can be taught." Children nowadays encounter daily classwork and homework, and are constantly being stressed about acing tests. Therefore, children have no time to be children, and focus more on passing a standardized test than on just being a kid and enjoying it. Homework also takes away from free time, so maybe if schools for all grade levels were required to take 30 minutes to an hour off during the day for recess, children could relax a bit and even do some of their homework then. If possible, make homework optional, so that it could have no effect on children except to be a tool that helps children who are having trouble with that class that the homework is due for.
