Reduce the length of copyright to five years.

Created by N.O. on April 18, 2012

Despite the passage of DMCA and the media industries constantly rising profits, they are completely ungrateful for it and still complaining about copyright piracy despite the fact that it has affected little if any of their profits. With the attempted railroading of SOPA and PIPA it is clear that they are more motivated by greed than creating new content for the entertainment industry.

The root cause of the piracy issue is copyright, with new technologies in media delivery if your film can't make a profit within 2 years, it will never make a profit.

So it is more proper to reduce the copyright terms to 5 years in light of new digital technologies and for the content industry to embrace new technologies and the internet instead of fighting against it.
