Reduce the mandatory minimum drug sentences.

Created by L.R. on September 18, 2013

The minimum drug laws are unfair to everyone. Even if someone has committed a low-level non-violent offense they can still be sentenced anywhere from five to thirty or more years in a penitentiary. Prisons are already over-crowded and with drug laws and mandatory minimums it is only going to get worse. Instead of focusing so much money on the incarceration of people using drugs, focus on getting them help.
