Reduce Military Spending by 1/3

Created by R.K. on September 22, 2011

Defense spending is over 3 trillion dollars for 2011. A defense deficit of 1 trillion dollars exists. Defense spending should be reduced by 1 trillion dollars by closing many military bases in other countries, withdrawing troops engaged in miltary action, reducing military expenditures on arms, eliminate attempts to conquest other countries and eliminate outsourcing to companies such as Haliburton which have a vested interest in lobbying for military action. The military should only be engaged in defense, not offense.
