Reduce the number of seats in the House of Representatives from 435 to 217 .

The members of the House of Representatives have not been doing their jobs in the interest of the American people and a reform is in order. The House has been irresponsible in dealing with both the Fiscal Cliff and last years Debt ceiling crises by leaving on Holiday with the crises looming. Successful corporations dont pay employees for not performing, so should it be with our Country. Instead of Medicare reform or Social Security reform which affects Americans adversely, I offer this proposal as one that will help State and local emergency services for the years to come. The annual salary of each Representative is $174,000.00 times 216 equals $37,584,000.00 yearly which we could use for funding state and local emergency services.
