reduce our defense budget by at least 25%.

Created by A.P. on November 10, 2012

The United States spends more money on national defense than at least the next 8 competing countries (including China, Russia, India, Brazil, France, Germany, and the United Kingdom) spend combined.

What are we so afraid of? And wouldn't it stand to reason that if we didn't have military bases in so many foriegn countries, that we wouldn't have so many enemies? Wouldn't it stand to reason that if we hadn't been selling weapons into the middle east, we wouldn't have terrorist groups gunning for us?

I trust the US government with a large military budget, but for a nation that hasn't seen a decleration of war in 50 years, $700 billion a year is too much to spend, and it only perpetuates a global climate of fear and paranoia.
