Reduce pay and abolish retirement pensions for members of the House of Representatives and the Senate.

Congress works for the people and must not receive any special benefits not available to the average American citizen. The deficit is out of control and the fix needs to start at the bottom. To be elected to Congress is a privilege and was never meant to be a career. Congress members will have their salary reduced by 15%, current pensions transferred to another form of public retirement system and the pension eliminated, have only the same choices of retirement as the average American citizen, participate in Social Security, Medicare, Mediaide and any new social entitlement passed by law.
