The members of Congress generally don't do much and get paid a ransom for the "services" they provide to the people. This petition is aimed at vastly reducing their salary to that of the average American in the year they are elected. Most members of Congress, if not all, are generally blind to what the every day American goes through from having to buy gas and groceries to paying bills with a limited budget most of us have. Taking a pay cut will get anyone's attention and it's time to get the attention of Congress.
