reduce the perks and benefits for members of Congress. They can't really represent us if they don't live like we do.

Created by C.O. on September 22, 2011

1. Congress shall no longer be able to vote itself pay raises. They will receive a 3% cost of living increase each year.
2. Members of Congress shall provide their own health insurance - just like the rest of us - until every American has affordable health care.
3. No more "golden parachutes." Once they are voted out of office or retire, there is no pension.
4. Place a limit on travel expenses and other "perks."
5. For every dollar spent on campaign ads, each candidate must pay 25% to a general fund to be used to decrease the deficit.
