We the people ask the federal government to Call on Congress to act on an issue:

Reduce the polling average from 15 percent to 10 percent for third party candidates to enter the presidential debates.

Created by A.F. on August 15, 2016

The majority of Americans are fiscally conservative and socially liberal. Our Nation was founded under principles of classical liberalism. These principles should be represented in the presidential debates this fall. However, regardless of which party, if a candidate reaches a ten percent polling average and has ballot access in a majority of states, that candidate should be represented in the presidential debates. With the high projected number of viewers of the presidential debates, a candidate who is not included cannot truly win or increase their polling numbers effectively. Democracy is about freedom of choice and the will of the people. An arbitrary polling average requirement of 15 percent limits that freedom. This petition was not created on behalf of a candidate or organization.
