Reduce pollution by keeping manufacturing jobs in the USA.

Created by T.M. on June 24, 2013

To reduce worldwide pollution and provide jobs for Americans, steps should be taken to ensure that domestic manufacturing has a "level playing field" concerning pollution regulations. For instance, when batteries are manufactured overseas in countries with loose pollution regulations, much more pollution is created than if those same batteries were produced domestically, where we can monitor and regulate that production. Excessive domestic regulation combined with over-zealous "free trade" eliminates jobs and multiplies pollution.
