Reduce the power of the Federal Reserve Bank back to the intent of the Federal Reserve Act.

Created by P.W. on July 11, 2012

The Federal Reserve Act of 1913 set up a Federal Reserve Bank as a "lender of last resort" in a liquidity crisis to avoid a run on banks.

Since that time, the power of the Federal Reserve has grown to the point where it drives the financial economy.

The lack of disclosure during the 2008 financial "crisis" has subsequently shown that the Federal Reserve vastly overstepped its authority in lending even outside the USA.

The current Quantitative Easing is destroying the savings of millions of Americans and increasing hardship for those dependent on interest income.

Introduce legislation to the Federal Reserve Act to limit the power of the Federal Reserve so that they stop driving the financial markets and only provide lending as a last resort in the case of a run on banks.
