There are many adds on Television about how there are an increasing number of jobs that require college education. Yet to get these jobs adults need to pay upwards of $100+ per textbook.
How is the average person expected to afford these expenses, applying for student loans and grants, which they may not recieve, and paying out of pocket. With growing inflation and less available jobs or having to worker longer hours just to get by, families aren't as able to afford these costs for their children.
Require publishing companies to lower the prices on books so that it is easier for one person to afford to buy the books they need for college along with all the college fees.
