Reduce recidivism by providing housing to released prisoners. Eliminate requirement for "felony" on job application.

Once a prisoner is sent to a work release program,finds a job,it is nearly impossible to find adequate housing, especially if the individual has a felony drug conviction. Upon a recommendation from program director of the halfway house,and the ex-prisoner finding a job,a scattered-site house in the community should be available at the rate of 30% of the ex-prisoner's income. This housing should be on a bus line that the individual can utilize to get to work each day.A community case manager should be assigned to assist the individual with budgeting and life skills,especially the basic paperwork management to have one's business affairs in order,such as child support warrants, reinstituting driving priviledges.It should not be necessary to indicate "felony conviction" on job application.
