Reduce salaries of congressional staff to assist with balancing the federal budget.

Created by D.S. on January 14, 2013

Members of congress just completed the least productive congressional year on record. Members of congress do more work to get themselves re-elected than to help solve the problems of our country. Tax payers throughout our country are taking pay cuts or staying in jobs without pay increases to survive and make ends meet. Members of congress should do the same. What services are congressional members providing that warrants their large salaries? In most poles, 60% or more Americans are disappointed with congress. It's time to reduce congressional salaries, hold congress accountable for its lack of productivity and de-incentivize "Do Nothing Congress" members from the status quo of receiving a large salary in return for record-low productivity.
