Reduce the Salaries of Congressmen, Senators, and the Executive Branch by 50% If Their Assets Exceed $1 Milliion.

Every class below the top 4% income level has been financially damaged by the poor economy that has developed through poor management and leadership of that same class. I propose a reduction by 50% of the salaries of our Federal elected officials if they possess assets in excess of $1 Million. These are the same sacrifices that we, the people, are being assigned by big business. The money saved should be directly applied to our national debt. In addition, any salary increases in the future must be passed by a 2/3's majority or higher via a referendum from the elected officals home district. Budgets made by millionaires are hardly realistic in these times. Our leaders are out of touch of the cost of living the living that the middle and lower class must endure.
