Reduce the salary of all Senators and decrease the amount the Federal Government pays for benefits.

Created by R.S. on September 23, 2011

In 2009 the Median household income was $50,221 and this number has decreased in the last 3 years. Wages for all Senators should be reduced to this level until the government can produce and manage a balanced working budget or create a surplus.

The private sector and the majority of Americans have seen their employee sponsored benefits slashed and/or have taken on the full financial burden of these programs. The government should decrease its responsibility on paying for these programs by asking the government employees to pay more for health insurance. The government should reduce the level at which the employee matching 401K and retirement programs be run.
