This petition calls on the President, Congress, and Cabinet officials to lower their own wages to no more than $100,000 per year.
Additionally, if the President, Congress, or Cabinet members request a salary increase, then such a request should be decided by the People as a measure on a ballot. This measure could be placed on a ballot only during a presidential election year.
The American People did not elect their representatives to office so that they could become wealthy and famous. Officials are elected so that all Americans could have fair representation.
