Reduce the signature cap of addressed petitions to the more appropriate and achievable goal of 50,000.

Created by S.F. on March 02, 2013

It is understandable that the white house staff should not be required to sort through every petition, no matter how ridiculous, that achieves the 25,000 mark. The switch to the almost insurmountable number of 100,000 over vets out important petitions that may have not had the perfect circumstances to achieve public awareness at the time but still are an important topic that should be addressed.

Therefore, we the people ask that the Obama administration lower the petition mark to receive an answer to the 50,000 mark. This will not only achieve the white house staff's goal of vetting out silly petitions but will provide an opportunity for important petition issues to receive a response.
