Reduce the 'Single's Penalty' On Federal Income Tax Rates

Created on February 12, 2016

Single men and women pay a disproportionatelty higher tax rate than their married counterparts.

Not only does this burden young adults who are just beginning to start their lives, it is absolutely backwards to the principles of what taxes are supposed to accomplish.

A single person consumes far less government services and programs when compared to a married couple with children. It makes absolutely no sense that a group of people who use less government programs are footing the tax burden of families, many of which are dual income households.

Please sign this petition if you are tired of the government punishing you via tax rates for an inconsequential personal choice.
